WorkSmart Hospitality Program

Industry-Ready Certification & Compliance

Gain the essential certifications needed to legally work in hospitality venues across Australia. This section ensures you meet industry standards and are job-ready from day one.

You will:

  • Complete mandatory courses such as RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and Food Handling
  • Learn about workplace health, safety, and hygiene practices

  • Understand legal requirements and compliance in Australian hospitality settings

Workplace Culture & Communication Skills​

Step confidently into the Australian workforce with strong communication and cultural understanding. This section prepares you for real-world customer service and teamwork.

You will:

  • Learn Australian workplace norms and hospitality etiquette

  • Develop industry-specific English through our “English in the Workplace” training

  • Practice common hospitality scenarios (taking orders, handling complaints, team interactions)

Real-World Experience & Job Opportunities

Take what you’ve learned and apply it in a real hospitality environment. This hands-on experience builds your confidence, strengthens your resume, and could lead to actual employment.

You will:

  • Participate in a structured work placement with a partner venue

  • Gain firsthand experience in fast-paced service settings

  • Get a chance to be offered a job based on your performance during placement

Program Overview

The WorkSmart Hospitality program provides everything you need to launch a career in the hospitality industry. Complete all mandatory licensing courses necessary for working in Australian venues, learn about Australian workplace culture, get familiar with industry-specific terminology, practice common interactions and scenarios, and improve communication skills with our specialised “English in the Workplace” training.

Then use everything you have learned for real, in an actual workplace! Get a unique opportunity to experience what it’s like to work in the Australian hospitality industry. There is even the chance of being offered a real job for those that perform well!

This program’s duration is 6 weeks.

There are no entry requirements for the course, however, you must have:  

  • A USI (Unique Student Identifier) number  
  • A valid and current email address 
  • Completed a LLN assessment (Language, Literacy & Numeracy test)  
  • Access to a reliable PC, laptop or tablet computer 
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and word processing software such as Microsoft Office suite 

Fee-for-service: $1,500

Monday – Sunday
Morning Class: 9:30am – 11:30am
Afternoon Class: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Evening Class: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Upon successful completion of this unit, you will be issued with a certificate of attendance and a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SoA).
